“I Left the Church of Christ”
When I hear someone has “left the church of Christ”, I wonder many things:
1. Did they leave a group of people who hid behind a sign? If so, they didn’t leave a true church of Christ!
2. Did they leave to join a group that doesn’t follow God’s plan of elders, and now have a single Pastor?
3. Did they leave to join a group that doesn’t follow God’s plan of worshiping sans instruments, and now worship according to the temple of the Old Testament?
4. Did they leave to join a group that doesn’t immerse for the forgiveness of sins in Jesus’s name, and now practice sprinkling and outward immersion after supposed salvation?
I have no problem leaving a false church of Christ. But I do have a problem joining a church not of Christ.
