2 Chronicles 17:16 – My New Hero

I have a new hero. Amasiah. I love finding little surprises in an otherwise dull list of names. Amasiah was a military commander of thousands. The Holy Spirit describes him as “the volunteer of the LORD” (2 Chronicles 17:16). This is the only time he is mentioned. If I am known for nothing more than being a volunteer for God, I will lived a successful life, and afterlife.
