What Happened When God Made “Man”? (Genesis 1-2):
1. Something was created Spiritually – Made in God’s image.
2. Something was created Physically – Male and Female.
3. Something was created Socially – Marriage between man and woman, each with distinct roles.
Each of these is under attack:
1. Darwinian evolution claims there is no God with therefore the result is no divine image. Within “Christiandom” there is “theistic evolution.” So according to that, exactly when God’s image evolve?
2. Physical definitions no longer apply as one’s sex is no longer the same as one’s gender. New definitions had to be created for old words for this new unreality. Within “Christiandom” there is a growing acceptance of gender fluidity as a norm. This is based upon a misunderstanding of what love should not tolerate, but instead should help eradicate.
3. Marriage is not a part of a large percentage of society. Children are born to unwed mothers while fathers aren’t committed to the mothers of their children. Marriage is even redefined as no longer between male and female. Again within “Christiandom” shame over sin has been replaced with pride. God’s sexual mores are ignored.
None of us should be shocked that Satan is attacking what was created in the beginning. After all, he lied to Eve saying “you shall not die.” Satan continues to destroy what was in the beginning, and will until the end. Satan distorts God’s image; has people bearing their sin in their physical bodies; and creates his own wicked society.
