John 21:25 – Miracles of Jesus

Listed below are the miracles of the Great Physician, Jesus, as recorded in Scripture.  Being God incarnate, He performed innumerably more: John 21:25 – And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.  [Anyone looking for a good class topic to teach, pay attention!]. All one needs to do is to read each account and determine why Jesus performed it.  Compassion for people, Confirming His message, Commending God, Confuting false teaching, Correcting sinful attitudes, all played a role in Jesus’ performance of the impossible.  Compassion was partially and clearly, a motivating factor in most.  God is love (1 John 4:8, 16)!

We can, and should be awed by the power of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.  But let us never loose sight that only a God of love would use His power to bring such healing to so many that are hurting.

Questions:

  • How can you become more compassionate?
  • What are you doing now to help others?
  • What is hurting in your life that God can help you with?

Prayer: Rejoice that our God loves so completely and heals so deeply.
