John 4:24 – Worship in Your Own Spirit and Your Own Truth

If God has not instructed us how to worship, then it is up to us. But when you understand who “us” are then you begin to see the folly of that idea. Why would an omniscient God leave it up to sinful man to decide how to worship God? Even new creatures are being newly created and not yet perfected. God knows we mess everything else up we do on our own. Defining “free in Christ” to mean “worship as you please” is just the latest way that man recreates God in his own image and getting God to be our puppet.
