Ephesians 3:20 – That Was A Weird Dream

That Was a Weird Dream!
Ever have a strange dream? Maybe the stranger question is, ever have a normal dream? “Weird”, “impossible”, supply your own extreme adjective. One question I want to ask God in eternity is, “Why did you make us to dream such weird things?” Think about it, our dreams defy the laws of physics and every sense of reality!
And in the flip side, they can be so vivid, when we wake up, we doubt they were dreams, and instead real.
I ask again, why would God make us dream such weird things, and dream of alternative realities?
I DON’T KNOW.
BUT….
Are there any verses in the Bible declaring God can do the impossible, so impossible they are even beyond all that we ask or even can imagine the present alternative realities?
• “Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us — ” (CSB’17 Ephesians 3:20)
• “When the disciples heard this, they were utterly astonished and asked, “Then who can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”” (CSB’17 Matthew 19:25-26)
If think you are beyond being saved, God has a real-life, alternative reality, that is not a dream, waiting for you!
So maybe, just maybe, God made us dream the impossible to remind us that He and only He can do the impossible! The story of Jesus is the impossible and provides an alternative reality. No one would make up a story of a financially poor, racially despised to the Gentiles, religious “heretic” to the Jews, being crucified as a criminal, and then resurrected to rule the world! No one in their normal mind would dream that through that, someone would be reconciling sinners to God! This reality is so powerful, the world redefined how we mark time itself.
Could it be our dreams are God’s way of saying, “Here I am, the Master of the Impossible! ” When you wake up, remember Me!
