When Tragedy Happens
When tragedy happens, when we miss a phone call, or didn’t make one, or fail to do something, or do something that fails, meditate on God and his inspired word. Don’t play the “what if” game although it is very natural. Asking yourself “What if I had done this or that” leads to guilt and the false sense of you having control over life, whether yours or someone else’s. This means when tragedy falls upon us, don’t turn to yourself. Turn to God. Better yet, turn to God before, during, and after.
