The Some Good vs The Sum Good

Atheists argue much evil has been done by followers in the name of “God(s)” which is sadly true. This becomes a moot point because they must also agree historically much evil has been done by followers who are atheists (consider Stalin and Mao). By their own argument then atheism must be false, or at least bad. Let’s flip the question. Atheists must also admit that historically much good has been done by followers in the name of “God(s)”, including good that did not profit but actually hurt the believer. Can the same be substantially said for atheists? Not saying no atheists have done good, but from a historical reality, can the some good of atheism come any where close to the sum good of theism? I’m only 56 but I have yet to go to a hospital named after a famous atheist!
