Colossians 3:8 – But Now

“But now” suggests that possibly a practical application is that with young Christians you begin with the sins of the flesh and then work up to other sins. These are those other sins which is seen in Paul’s language, “But now you must also put away” (3:8). “Now you” is emphasized in the Greek to get their attention. Putting off the sexual sins is not enough. Too many Christians would disagree – at least in practice. “Put away” is an aorist imperative which means it is: “A command to ‘do this!’ Make this happen! (Don’t just try!). Begin to do this now.” (The Discovery Bible)

.I'm doing a rdeaing plan, which helps me stay committed to rdeaing God's Word. It's chronological, which has been really cool. So right I could be rdeaing from 1 Chronicles, 1 Samuel, or Psalms on a given day. And then I journal at least one take-away thought from the day so it can, hopefully, "dwell" in my heart richly that day.
