Why the Cross? It is Fitting

Why the Cross? It Is Fitting
The Bible is interpreted as teaching connections between characters and events such as Jesus and Jeremiah, Joseph, and most famously Isaac (Genesis 22). Not every detail is directly stated, but rather narratively derived through type and antitype (i.e., Hebrews 11:19; 1 Peter 3:21). So such is a biblical method.
Adam and Jesus are contrasted in Romans and 1 Corinthians, and compared in Ephesians. Again, such is a biblical method and topic.
Since the following connections are not directly taught, but are parts of two great narratives, we will use the language, “It is fitting because”. The following are either coincidences (possibly) or providence; either assumptions or a seemless story.
(In order of appearance in the crucifixion narratives)
1. Why did Jesus go to a garden and willingly leave as God willed? It is fitting because Adam willfully sinned in a garden and was forced to leave as God willed (Gen.3:23).
2. Why did the Sandredrin call false witnesses to lie about Jesus? It is fitting because the serpent lied about God (Gen.3:1-4).
3. Why a crown of thorns place on Jesus’s head? It is fitting because the ground was cursed with thorns and Adam would sweat from his brow (Gen.3:18).
4. Why a cross? It is fitting because the NT calls the cross a tree (1 Pet.2;24) and Adam and Eve ate from a tree (Gen.3:11).
5. Why was the Son of Man cursed on a tree (Gal.3:13)? It is fitting because curses entered the world when mankind sinned through a tree (Gen.3:14-19).
6. Why nails through the hands? It is fitting because Eve reached with her hands and gave to her husband to sin (Gen.3:6).
7. Why nails through Jesus’s feet? It is fitting because the seed of woman would crush the seed of the serpent on his head with his heel (Gen.3:15; Romans 16:20).
8. Why was Jesus robe taken while being crucified shamefully (naked)? It is fitting because Adam and Eve saw they were naked and shamed, and clothed themselves (Gen.3:7).
9. Why was Jesus mocked on the cross (and before) and again called a liar? It is fitting because the serpent mocked God calling him a liar (Gen.3:5).
10. Why was the Son of Man pierced in his side (leading to the Church, Body of Christ)? It is fitting because God pierced the first man’s side in making Eve who sinned (Gen.2:22).
Are there more? Are these too many? Why the cross and everything associated with it? In order for atonement to reverse sin? It is fitting.
