Exodus-Deuteronomy – Three Stories
The keys to studying books like Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy are to see the story behind the story, to study it for the reality that it presented and the reality that it foreshadowed. And then finally we must study it to find yourself in the story. All three of these make the story real. It was real for Israel. It was real for Jesus, the new Israel. It is real for us in our lives as we live in a covenant relationship with God, wandering in our own wilderness, offering up our bodies as a living sacrifice.
