Luke 23:34 – Victim or Victor
Victims cannot forgive or else they lose their identity as a victim. Forgivers cannot be victims even when victimized because their identity is not based upon what others do to them, but what God has done for them. Victims never heal, living only in the past, living a life of hurt and hate. Forgivers are healed and healers, living in the present for the future, living a life fulfilled by Christlikeness. On the cross, Jesus was victimized, but never a victim. Jesus heals by His victory over being victimized. Choose which you will be – victim or victor.
