2 Peter 3:18 – Lord and Savior

Some want Jesus as their Savior but not their Lord because Lords must be obeyed. Others want Jesus as their Lord but not their Savior because only “others” need saving and they need just enough grace to finish what they lack. We tend to segment our relationship with God based on part of revelation. Some have no fear because God is a loving Father. Others live in fear because God is an absolute monarch as King. Don’t make God a one dimensional cardboard cutout of a God. That is what the pagans did. Accept God as He is, not as we are. When people say, “That’s not the God I worship” they are speaking more truth than they know.
