Ephesians 5:15-17 – Serious Fun with Time

We don’t need to make time for God. In fact, we can’t make time for God. God already made time, literally, and made time for us (Genesis 1). Time helps us imagine a time of no time which is beyond imagining.
We, however, need to take time, use time, and find time, for God; because God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit took time, used time, and found time for us (Galatians 4:4). When we don’t have time for God, why should we expect God to have time for us? Thankfully calling God in prayer does not get us a busy signal.
So the next time we think or say “I’m busy so I can’t…” remember that while God made time, Satan is running out of time, and uses busyness to keep you from seeing time is running out for us too.
While we can’t make time for God, we can make the best use of our time for God:
“Pay careful attention, then, to how you live — not as unwise people but as wise — making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” (CSB’17 Ephesians 5:15-17)
Remember, time helps us think of infinite time which is eternity which is without time. So use TIME for God:
T – Thoughts
I – Intention
M – Money
E – Energy
Because I need to think of my TIME as:
T – Tick Tock
I – Investing in
M – My
E – Eternity
