Biblical truth standing on its spiritual head to get our eternal attention.

Acts 13:4-12

Paul called Elymas the “son of the Devil.” No doubt he deserved this new name because he was a sorcerer, full of all deceit and all fraud, and an enemy of righteousness who perverted the straight paths of Jesus. And maybe because Elymas wasn’t living worthy of his other name – Barjesus. That means “Son of Savior.” (Acts 13:4-12)Today we need to walk worthy of the names given us. Christian means one who follows Christ. Disciple means one who studies to be like Christ. Believer means one who trusts enough to obey Jesus Christ. Do we lead people to walk on the paths of the Lord? If not we are sons of the Devil. Live out your names and don’t be a false son of God.
