Biblical truth standing on its spiritual head to get our eternal attention.

Poem

FEW are so open to SHARE; BARE our truth, for them to VIEW.

LOST to self, purpose, to GOD; FRAUD, identity is COST.

FAR easier to mask, to BE; FREE no more, cloaked in hurt’s SCAR.

DARE to be a sincere YOU; INTO, bruised, ridicule’s LAIR.

FEAR, rejection is our NAME; BLAME, hiding me to pain’s SMEAR.

DEFECT from truth to SECURE; SURE no more, I, me, REJECT.

DO you see my hurt to SHARE? BARE my truth, for them to VIEW?

  • Here is the thought that led to the poem: Few are willing to share who they really are because they’ve tried and been ridiculed and rejected. Far easier it is to be who others expect, to blend in and hide our true selves. The tragedy is that the world loses another individual made by God to be what God expected, to be who they really are. Fear remakes us into the image of what others expect.
