Hebrews 10:24-25 – Attending to One Another

Hebrews 10:24-25 – Notice the linguistic and spiritual connection between “attend” and “attention.” When we pay attention to God we attend to God’s people by attending with God’s people. We are not only attendees, we are attendants, “one who waits on another.” When we attend, we pay attention, not just mentally by bodily, because attendance is “the act of being present, of presenting oneself.” Knowing this, “let us attend to one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our attending to meetings, as some habitually do, but attending to each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” (PerryPhrase)
